Let me out it this way. Give me any event and I can create an associated event -- valid or not -- to justify or explain it, whether it's a full moon or a tall building.
There are more superstitions than flavors of ETFs! One of my favorites is the Skysrcaper Curse. Every time very tall buildings are constructed or near completion the market crashes. And just remember: China's Shanghai Tower is scheduled to be completed in 2014
Count the full moons that we have left. That's what we need to worry about that friday the 13ths. People and other animals act irrationally around full moons -- any research out there that prove markets get crazy around full moons? Probay a few hedge funds base their moves around full moons...
@Phoenix, tell me about it. The talk wasn't very motivational, but the guy who gave isn't exactly known as a great motivator, more of an odd duck. I am friends with a guy in the call center and he tells me that this manager is known for always giving these odd talks. To each their own.
Really? Well I guess people can make use of it anyway they want to. I suppose for a motivational speech though it lacks incentive LOL. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Famous people born on Friday the 13th include Samuel Beckett (13 April 1906), Margaret Thatcher (13 October 1923), Fidel Castro (13 August 1926) and Steve Buscemi (13 December 1957).
