I think that is correct. Once you get to a certain level with respect to basic needs, then you need something more than money alone. However, this level is different for different people. There have been some surveys that say that people who are religious are generally more happy. I think that is because they see helping others and their family are important.

Not sure it's safe to say that religious people are happier because they help people. It really depends on your religion. If you're a christian missionary perhaps you are feeling you're helping people, but buddists are more about inner peace. And please remember that you can help people and not believe in a conventional religion.

That is all true. But I was just saying there have been some surveys that say generally people who are religious tend to be happier. I am sure there are other ways to be happy also.

Al Green said it best, "Love & Happiness"  If you don't have love in your life you most likely won't experience any happiness.  Whether you love money, cars, or your family, you hav to have some love to exist (at least in my mind).
