I agree. There really are hidden gems, but finding them in the current environment is not easy.

I agree with you. It does look promising to invest in China if we are able to figure out the 'hidden gems'. This is going to be difficult and I keep wondering about the risks involved. The Chinese government policies are one of the concerns but there are others and it is all due to the lack of information. If there was a way to obtain transparency and accountability then China would open up many good investment opportunities.

Tony,

Is it just the flurry of deception from China in the past that's leaving me skeptical? How can I push myself past the point of disbelief about these Chinese investments?

good point, though i do think recycling of plastics is going to be big in the future i agree that transparency would be needed for me to invest with a company, more so if they are in China.

This may indeed be one of the hidden gems in China. I would caution people , however, due to the lack of solid accountimng information, there are probably more bad opportunities than there are good ones. Transparency is hard to come by in China and most auditing is done by local firms - with questionable track records.
