@Street Smart - Agreed this only creates jobs for a few government administrators and loan officers.

As I've said here before, I'm really not convinced that banks are being to strict with credit.

But, if I'm wrong - we should work to solve the problems and provide the liquidity through the existing commercial systems.  This looks like we just create a whole new set of lenders with a whole new set of proceedures and problems.

I know that transparency is a goal of the Obama administration, but this is transparent, knee jerk politics at its very most ridiculous!

The only jobs this program will create in my humble opinion are for the program administrators handing out the funds in the various states.

People need jobs NOW, not after the agencies get up and running to solicit applications to consider handing out money so that "worthy" entrepreneurs can start businesses which may or may not succeed and only if they DO succeed will they actually have the cash flow to hire additional staff.

What an insult!

This administration spent billions if not trillions of TRAP money to save the top 10 banks of this country, but only 360M to save millions of small businesses. It doesn't make sense to me

Can't wait to see how many shovel ready jobs this program will create or save.
