Yes, I am talking about having a new President in 2012; I do not agree that the current gentleman will be re-elected.  I do agree, however, that the current list of presidential hopefuls may not have the answer to our current economic ills.  Maybe if big government just gets out of our way, we as humans can use our own creativity and solve some of these problems ourselves.

PAW,

Are you talking about President electrion in 2012? Don't count on that, hehehe...

I think the current president will still be in the office after election. And I don't see any potential great leaders in the opposite party (or parties) anyway.

The great leadership may come from other sources (if it really comes). The US and the whole world will have a even better future once we get through this delimma. I trust we human beings (as general) are creative and always come up innovations to solve problems and make lifes better and better.

I hope that is the case, my thinking is that it all depends on how hands on Jobs was durring development and production. I guess we will all find out when the first generation of post Jobs devices hit the market.

Yes I agree. I don't think he'd go through with another round of his previous medicine. He knows it didn't work. I guess it's like a vicious continuous cycle now. No jobs, no money, no spending, no business again no jobs. Hopefully there is a way to break this cycle at some point.

I agree and with the current team of programmers and innovators in place, the fact that Jobs is not at the helm should not have too much a negative impact.  Also, he will be on the BoDs so won't be entirely without influence.

Great leadership is a key ingredient to the solution and one thing that we are sadly missing at the moment.  Hopefully, that will change in 2012.

Innovation is def going to be a big part of driving Apple forward, just like it has been a big part of getting them where they are today. But I think one of the biggest things will be if they keep putting out a product that is as refined as the ones they have now. The thing that has always stood out to me about Apple is how easy it is to use their producs and how sophisticated the design is; its as if every single detail has been tought out, and then retought to make sure the user will have no issue with it. If the company maintains that levels of commitment to design with Jobs gone I think they will do fine.

You are right. Not only Bernake, most of us don't see a good solution. It's a delimma. GDP is not growing fast enoguh to generate enough jobs. Our debt is so high that we all fears the consequences, while the interest is zero. Whoever has a magic to get us out of this delimma, will need creative thinkings and innovative way to exexcute them, plus great leadership. For me, I don't see good solution down the road soon. What I see is maybe less painful compromises. Really sad our economy came down this road. Hopefully human being as general can remember this lesson, and maybe come up some innovatiions (in terms of financial and economy).

As long as Apple continues to innovate and offer products that create the kind of interest and demand that it has historically, then I am not convinced that it is all about having Jobs or Cook as the CEO.  At the end of the day, it is about the product.

l do not think Bernanke has any more ideas.  If he does have other “tools” to boost growth then he should stop hinting at them and start explaining them.
