as all of this just keeps heating up I am really looking forward to the circus that will be on all the major networks and cable news stations. Who needs reality TV when you have US politics.

Bill Keller of the NY Times wrote a great op/ed piece on the candidates the other day, in which he reminded us that Mitt Romney was the only candidate he had ever heard give a campaign speech using PowerPoint.  And that Rick Perry seemed intent on having Texas secede from the Union and take the other 49 states with it.

To which I say, please, please Mitt, Rick, Michelle, Rand and ???...NOT Montana! That's all I ask...just please leave me Montana!

I would have thought for sure that the GOP was going to come strong with very good candidates, but they seem to have done everything but that.

Republicans have frequently shown an uncanny ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of sure victory.

Even an average candidate could do well against Preseident Obama. Instead, mediocrity takes center state at these debates and other party functions.

It has become rather comical to watch. I have been getting a kick out watching this circus on tv, and just think it's nt even close to over.

Actually, there was a new poll out today that says the TEA party is 47%, or almost half of the republican party.

I believe that, at this point in time, Tea Party republicans outnumber non-Tea Party republicans, so it's understandable, strategically speaking, to appeal to them.
