Taxes for Christmas Trees is really embarrasing. It is very sad that the government, instead of trying to combat the recession, unemployment, and inflation, they are trying to collect taxes on the context of creating an image for the Christmas tree.

All these discussions about taxes on live Christmas trees must be having a really negative effect on potential buyers. The bad publicity this whole issue brings about cannot be good for the industry this tax is supposedly going to help promote.

After spending his time on the White House Beer Summit, taking Air Force One overseas to pitch Chicago for the next Olympic location and of course enlightening us all to the evils of bullying -the Obama Christmas Tree initiative is no surprise.

These kinds of regulations underscore the reasons why our government is in so much debt. We're bloated with nonsense regulation and agencies to create and enforce them. Haircuts in Europe? We need the shave the fed's head in the US!

The fact that they are now spending even more time on this issue by delaying the implementation is even more incredulous. Can't someone just have the sense to say "this is out of our jurisdiction. Sorry." and forget it.
