Noreen- I agree. Having to eat with either of these two makes starving seem desireable. O guess that is better than getting fed stinky stuff by these guys.

Barney Frank wrote a lead opinion piece in Financial Times some months ago that was followed up with a blog post by none other than someone identifying himself as Howard Baker.  Of course, Frank was taken to task for his role in the scourge on the earth that is Fannie and Freddie Mac.

A radio personality once said that, in sports, it's good to be really good or really bad. Being in the middle stinks since there's no real benefit to be had. I think the same applies to public figures. I think the motivation factor to capture viewers' eyeballs is tougher so you want to poke & prod them to watch, by any means. Some like it, others hate it. But as long as you're watching... all's good.

I guess that would make sense, It would be really hard to come up with a persona that pompous. Its rather scary that his show is so popular, to me anyway.
