really a WISH list...

Well John, You may have been nice this year, but even Santa is unlikely to get the items on your list. But it's nice to dream, right?

And let's open it up to the rest of the IU community:

What's on your wish list for this holiday season?

Pretty good list.

I would also like to see more leadership and innovation by companies to bring out products we can be excited about. I know everyone is in a funk but businesses cold take the lead if the government won't.

Also I doubt you will get your wish about the NY Giants. Go Steelers!

Great list.  I particularly like the first item but I don't think even Santa can grant that one.

I also like 3. Media objectivity.  When I was in school and we learned about journalism, we were taught that the media was to be objective.  Newscast even used to make the distinction between what was "News" and what was "Commentary".  Today, there is less news and much more commentary, passed off as news.

Wishing everyone a great Holiday and an even better New Year!

I also like the first item in your list. I think this applies not only to the US but also to the rest of the world. If we have good leadership based on good ethics and intentions around the world we wouldn't have so many unnecessary wars or disagreements.

I forgot to include one other wish:

The demise of Reality television. May the Kardashians and the rest of these no talents simply go away. When will America wake up to the fact that these "Reality stars" are not stars at all?

John, you want the media to be objective AND the Kardashians to go away? Sheesh, let's not ask for too much...
