Thanks for the great information.  I think I will now take a closer look at biotech stocks for my investing.

Great post, @Rod.  I'm glad that the fundamentals continue strong in biotech and are growing ever stronger for companies such as Bristol-Myers that had lost its way for a while there and Pfizer which is weathering the move to generic Lipitor.

What makes me most optimistic however--about the biotechs--is the global decline in health and the corresponding rise in "wealthy maladies," not only in the US but in rapidly-industrializing nations such as India, China and Brazil.

As a stock-picker friend of mine said recently, "Just visit a grocery store and you'll see that diabetes is alive and growing."

True that...
