@Tenacious: I don't dislike Jim Bob, or John Edwards, or Rick or Newt or any of them because of their haircuts. I dislike them because they seem like jerks. And through Nancy Pelosi in that list, too.
Very funny! And sad.

True enough Scott, but having 20 kids is punishment enough for anyone. :>)
Yeah, well I'm a seeker of the truth. They both have terrible haircuts.
And yes, John Edwards is a scoundrel. A really low person. He did get ripped up in the media for a while. But as we know the media has the attention span of a cockroach so they moved on to other more important things, like Justin Bieber.
I don't know much about Jim Bob but 19 kids is a real eye-opener and very questionable on the grounds that if everybody had 19 kids we'd be in a whole lotta trouble.
@Scott, you started this!

I don't know Jim Bob from a hole in the wall. I never heard about him until this moment. I have no problem with substantive criticism for any member of any party, but if it's hair style we're worked up about, John Edwards and he are look alikes and I cannot think of any criticism of Jim Bob that would be more damning than siring a child out of wedlock while your wife is dying of cancer, and yet John Edwards has received scant media attention and was almost president.
I think it's time to acknowledge the differences in treatment that people accused of similar offenses receive from the press. Try Cain and Clinton as a starter.
Fred, it's not the fact that Jim Bob is a Republican. It's the fact that he thinks he's a Rabbit.
While John Edwards will probably never have a chance to meet Jesus Christ -- given the likelihood of where he is headed in the afterlife -- I find it troubling that Jim Bob justifies having 19 (or 20--who'se counting?) children on religious grounds. If you've ever watched the TV show, it is clear that the older kids rear the younger siblings. And the whole thing is just odd.
