Looking for a way out?

Maybe some of the advertisers were just looking for a way out of their commitments. Rush has not been gaining in popularity in recent days and all the stories of his drug addictions, etc have lowered hi desireability as someone to sponsor. I think maybe this was a good excuse for some of the advertisers that were sitting on the fence. I think they have the right to spend their money any way they wish.

Citrix was advertising on Rush Limbaugh? I find that strange... maybe an inordinate number of IT managers were Rush fans?

They do...the thing you have to wonder about is why they were there in the first place, because as Marvin notes, this is not the first over the line thing that this broadcaster has said. I think if I was an advertiser, I'd be wary of someone who had the potential of a ticking time bomb, you know?

I agree. I don't think Rush appeals to the middle very much and I am not sure how many are that far right.

@tokyogai, I have to agree with you that he is pretty far right, and if I were advertising for my brand I would try to stay clear of people who could put it in hot water, unless my brand was so closly linked to the same message.
