Awesome call on SolarWinds, Scott...up 20% today to $45.06 and hit a new high at $46.38. Q1 revenue rose 39% to $59.6 million, vs. consensus of $56.3 million. EPS of 30 cents topped consensus by 5 cents.

@Street Smart,

Honestly I can't say I've gone that deep into the technicals of the product (yet). Just been looking at the numbers.

I have used their products a few years back and they were definitely a good fit for a small shop back then. I can only imagine that they would continue that initiative.

@Scott, do you know if all of their cloud solutions are customized to the client or if they have "off the shelf" products that they sell to smaller companies?

I agree that this looks like an acquisition candidate for sure!

It's a vote of confidence in the only way that IT can evolve to be cost effective and power the demands of a mobile based hardware market. I agree that this is the area of IT to invest in, the old school IT companies are just not acting fast enough to capitalize on this space.

Amazon and Solarwinds have almost nothing in common, so not really sure what you are talking about.

It does look like a promising company specially with the impressive growth and the market they are in. I think Telecomfreq your experience with their products shows that they have a lot of potential.

I think they arte the real deal, but they still have headwinds. Amazon is making a major play in the cloud and seeming to also be doing very well. There is a lot of room for growth for the next several years, so I do think this is worth a serious look.
