Noreen Seebacher 3/28/2012 9:35:07 AM NO RATINGS Login to Rate A recent study sheds light on the increasing prevalence of smartphone addiction, in which 88% of professionals polled say they'd feel either disoriented, distraught, lonely or physically ill if they went without their device for a working week. Can you be separated from your device for any longer than a few minutes or do you clutch it the way a new parent clings to the hand of her wobbly-legged toddler in a busy place? Apparently one troubling threshold that's not to be ignored: When the device seems to control the user, as opposed to the user maintaining control over the device. You can see an interesting slideshow of symptoms here. But weigh in. Are you addicted? Where is the strangest place you use your phone? And for what purpose?
