Rupert Murdoch is annoying and he is giving me a headache. That is besides the fact that he has given what is left of journalism an even worse name.

Rupert has no one to blame but himself. Hard to feel sorry for him-but I do empathize for investors who got blindsided by his antics.

If July 19, 2011 is Mr. Murdoch's "the most humble day of my life", then March 26, 2012 should be label as Mr. Murdoch's " the most arrogant of my life". What a change a tycoon's life can have in less than a year!
I agree that he really has no one to blame but himself, I think in the end he will get what he has coming.
Rockin' Rupert...tweet, tweet...

Rupert Murdoch is a very old dog who should not be trying new tricks like Twitter feeds. In this day and age of instant reputation ruination and cyber-surveillance, all he will succeed in doing is creating a permanent, time-stamped record of statements he'll wish he could later deny.
Lack of social media impulse control has been many a celebrity's and politician's undoing, and I find it pretty funny that "Mr. Hacking" is so beguiled by technology that he can't resist digging his own grave! Wouldn't you think he'd learn?

I agree completely. He is not above the law ( even though he may think so). I see this move as just a lot of bluster.
Twitter? Really?

"The high-tech weapon used to launch the all-out attack on the old toffs and right-wingers was Rupert's Twitter account."
Is anyone else finding the whole social media takeover of the world extremely annoying/depressing? I love that twitter now gives athletes the ability to tell you what they're eating at 2AM (cheetos and whiskey) and who they're hanging out with (#BFF)...and now it's giving newspaper overlords the ability to verbally attack their opponents? When is this going to stop?
Murdoch, do this the proper way: write a rambling column in all of your 74178631 publications and give yourself the front cover on all of them.
Social media is beginning to make me feel very anti-social. There's no time for real interaction because OMG! I haven't updated my multiple profiles, statuses, or created a new and exciting pin board.

@Noreen, in some regards, social media isnt for the social. It's for people who: a) don't have enough to do or enough natural social interaction (see stay at home moms on FB); 2) people on the make (salespeople, marketers, job seekers, self-promoters, branders, etc.)
