Which is what they probably will do BUT there's always guilt by association. I can only imagine that beer manufacturers will always have some sort of flawed image since they're everywhere. Sports, hobby events, even the non-ideal events. Someone will always be offended by their advertising partners. They MUST anticipate this head-on.

@drivewaygirl, what's the lesson for companies: you're damned if you do, damned if you don't? Not sure what heineken could have done to prevent this, and what they can do afterward except deny any direct connection or control over the event.

Heineken will need to maintain a proactive stance to overcome the fallout from this incident, even if it happened indirectly. Consumers do not care how something happened or even if someone truly had a role in it. They often look for scapegoats. Good lesson for other companies.

Great data on pit bulls. I'm always stunned at the amount of misplaced fear people have about this breed.

While pit bulls may be delightful pets, the insurance liability issues are substantial. One of the standard questions you are asked is whether you own a pit bull when you get a homeowmer's or renter policy.

Amazing how we have transformed an obviously smart and lovable animal into a mean and vicious one. I know not all pit bulls are "bad," but I feel the inbreeding has damaged the breed.

Laura Ingalls Wilder, the author of the Little House book series, had a  Pit Bull named Jack. Teddy Roosevelt and Helen Keller had pit bulls, too.

And what about the anything but vicious American Pit Bull Terrier named Petey, who made his television debut in 1922 in Hal Roach's Our Gang comedies (later known as The Little Rascals).

"Pit Bull" is a nickname given to American Staffordshire Terriers, American Pit Bull Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. These three breeds along with the English Bulldog, the Boston Terrier and several other breeds have all evolved from a fighting dog bred in Europe in the early 1800"s, known as the Bull and Terrier.

Nipper, the dog immortalized by RCA, was a mutt mix -- part bull terrier with a trace of fox terrier.
