@TeckStockProspector,

Looks like you were right, AAPL is up more then 8% today after earnings release. Still 20% is a little bit too volatile for an average investor.

I think they have done an excellent job over the past 4-5 years to stand their ground and continue to increase their customer base and maintain a good edge over their larger competitors.

Blame the hedgies for all that volatility! They love to move some of these tech names big. I can't wait to see the trading in Apple next week ahead of and after earnings on Tuesday. Of course, that is (or was) a $600 stock.

The headline mentioned the volatility and then I went to look at the chart and realized the stock swung 20% between the overnight low and yesterday's high. That is pretty serious volatility for a $130 stock.

F5's product strategy is not constantly changing. Yes, the company develops new products and features, but that's called innovation. F5 dominates the ADC business and is smart to expand its total addressable market by extending its reach in enterprise security, which is a fast-growing adjacent segment.

If you look at the results that F5 posts, you can see that it is really inconsistant. The outlooks presented by the company seem to have little to do with reality. This is also refected int he product strategy- it seems to be constantly changing. F5 has some good products, has a great sales force , but really lacks in vision. I would like to see them really get and execute a more strategic vision.

Capstone Investments just upgraded F5 from a "hold" rating to a "buy" and upped the target price from $136 to $149.
