Sorry I think MSFT missed the boat they are playing catch-up like they did when the ipod ate their lunch. Don't think it's really going to work.

@philtheinvestor, I dont think its the right to enter the MSFT because response to the windows mobile is not in the expected lines. Moreoever MS is busy in buying small companies like Barnes and Noble which some analysts say is risky strategy. So better to wait before investing in the stock at these levels.

I was reading this article and I have also heard from some techno-savvy investor friends that Microsoft might be a good short-term bet for the next year or so. I am not sure if this due to the release of Windows 8 and pushing Windows Phone??
