what a crazy story. I am glad everythign worked out in the end. but what a trip to have to go and hunt down everything so many years later.

And thanks for the tips on keeping trak of everything! if i ever have to go through this at least you put a blueprint out there for all of us.

I'm glad you were able to find a way to locate the money. Your daughter is lucky to have you as a parent. You negotiated the deal and now made sure she would get it when she needed it the most.

The structure worked out well for my daughter. She got a steady, guaranteed tax free return, with no risk to the principal. And while it wasn't a huge amount of money, it will certainly help with her college expenses.
