I could argue that they are identical. The 'news' is the same. It's just how they package it to their viewers. You can see by the differences between say The Daily Show and a camparable show on FOX News.

Scott,

I have to agree with your wife here.

She makes an awesome point!!!

The only thing that makes this really sad is that the Court Jester(Stewart) tells the Truth and reality more often than the So-called Experts/Finance Gurus on Media.

It reminds me so much about Ancient Greece...

Guess People have'nt really changed in all these Centuries...

Regards

Ashish.

Noreen,

How do you tell the difference???

Is'nt that why CNN(during Gulf War One) and Fox News(Operation Enduring Freedom) registered massive Viewership???

Only thing is today circumstances(and especially Viewership) has changed.

Its Difficult for most of the sceptical public to believe everything they see on TV every single day.

Regards

Ashish.

Yes I agree. As I have stated, aggressive financing programs are behind every great bubble.

Couldn't agree more. The Ivy Race is the parental status race.

I read about the SAT scandal that is unbelievable.

Good point. I like my wife's approach. She says: "I get all my news by watching Jon Stewart on The Daily Show."

Putting a "spin" on the news does not make a good news network. It is how you create entertainment, The two are not synonymous.

But that's what makes a good news network. They have to put a spin/provide an edge so that they carve out a group of watchers. Otherwise, it may get overlooked by most.

Of course the parents paid. And for what? What a way to teach your kids about circumventing ethics and values.
