Can we place side bets? I love getting in on family feuds...from the sidelines.

OK before we get burned out on FB ($32.25)  I will bet you that come Dec'12 it is higher than NFLX ($68).Also check analysis on B1 WSJ today. Compared to AMZN ($216) FB is a bargain.

@PC

Well you can't win them all. I can't speak for Rayno Sr. but it looks like he just took a flyer on FB for "fun." That's what can happen with an overpriced Internet stock

Then again, should have listened to his biotech calls... those were right on.

@Value Hiker: Yes, Yelp (YELP) reportedly rejected Google's $550-million buyout offer in 2009. Looks like a smart move given today's market cap at $1.2 bil.

Yelp shares recovered nicely from this morning's plunge to $16.21 on the Facebook Flop Fallout and are now back to $19.90.

I bought Facebook at $38.10  - Ray

I maintain valuation discipline, therefore I cannot buy it. - Scott

Since FB is down 11% today, it looks like Scott was the Raynovich that made the better call on this one!

While I respect Facebook as the pioneer in social networking I have seen little done with their business model to lead me to believe they will continue to pioneer. Remember RIM was once the innovator, I am not buying because I believe the traditional model of Social Networking has to evolve and demonstrate its ROI long term to be worth the investment. We are still in the initial phases.

Here is $TRIP. I really wanted to buy it but I waited too long. I thought it would pull back at some point. Oops. Now I have to wait for lockup expiration.
