Privacy concern is a moving concept. 20 years ago, even a young kid is worrying his bbig brother hid a camera or recorder somewhere in his room and feed the the live stream for his friends. Now a day, young kids are paying to set up a high definition camera in his own private room, and broadcast 24 hours a day to world, and he also tweet and blog all the way to beg people to see him doing some crazy stuffs.

I was told this new generation is completely different to all the generations before, and it may change the world in a surprising way.

Well, Google is just in the right spot to provide a good tool for those kids.

Driveway,

I don't use Chrome as my default browser(and never have).

When I have very good alternatives like Opera and Firefox, why should I turn to a Software provider who has a known track record of using all my Data to suit its own nefarious needs?

Avoid Chrome.

Ashish.

Marvin,

Its often said ,that the job of a comedian is the hardest job in the world.

And you do it,spectacularly well here!

I for one agree wholeheartedly with amazement at Googles Business model and in particular how they've made it cool to collect as much Info on  a person as they can and sell it on to whoever wants it.

Keep up the good work!

Ashish.

Howard,

Murdoch most certainly is one of a kind.

A significant number of his comments are just totally beyond the realm of plasubility today.

GOOGLE IS OUTRAGEOUS FOR ITS INVASION OF PRIVACY BUT PIKERS IN COMPARISON WITH MURDOCH.  WILL HE FINALLY SELL HIS TAINTED NEWSPAPERS IN LONDON?  TO THE RUSSIANS WHO ALREADY OWN TWO DAILIES .  AND THEN SELL THE WSJ AND POST?

So much data...and so little understanding at this point on who uses it -- or for what reasons.

We're Too Small to Embrace Big-Data, Critics Claim

It seems to me if they are taking data without permission, it is theft. Some countires have laws to protect privacy and data. I say shame ofn Google.

Very funny insight Marvin. Made me laugh. What is hard to understand is how can we all agree Google is overstepping -- and yet contunue to use it as our default browser? Go figure!

Google has chutzpah, that's for sure. And we willingly give it much of the info it collects. So go figure: thieves or a clever, clever company.

Google may be a company of thieves -- but I have to admit I am addicted to its data. I use google maps all the time, even as I complain about how I can see my car in my driveway.
